Frankly, I think Anno lost his sanity after The End of Evangelion. I don't care about the Rebuilds... I do like how they have 600% more Kaworu tho...

oh he definately lost his marbles. dont forget tho that tsurumaki had a big part in all this, and hes kind of a nut job too. hes the guy behind flcl and diebuster. everything he does is a bit out there and goofy, buuut i think his influence was the most fun of the movie, the fights and silly boats on strings and then whenever anno stepped in and monologued i kinda wanted to snooze

i definately agree. i think to the super invested eva fan its probably really cool, but i just kinda lost interest when things were being spelled out to me, like when gendo goes on his full tyrade about how hes lonely and how the headphones let him be cooler than anyone else.
